WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE – IMPACT AREAS

Support relevant stakeholders to examine the entire food system to identify hotspots and the key leverage points to implement interventions that will have the greatest impact.

Help to sustainably increase agricultural productivity and incomes; adapt and build resilience to climate change; and reduce or remove greenhouse gases, where possible.

Support to ensure that post-harvest storage and processing facilities, and transport networks are climate-resilient.

Encourage willing schools in rural communities to have demonstration farms for Agricultural Studies and also rear animals to supply the school kitchen using climate smart interventions.

Encourage research into and the use of off-grid and efficient energy sources like solar and wind energies.

Ideal Serve recognizes the need to tackle the causes and consequences of global climatic change. This informs the decision to focus on the following:

(a) Create general awareness on the impact of climate change and the need for mitigative responsible behaviours.

(b) Promote Climate Smart Mitigation Initiatives via Capacity Building of key actors.
